I have been in the garment industry for over 30 years.  I have done everything from alterations and tailoring, pattern making, sample maker, quilting, embroidery, smocking, knitting and crocheting.  With the many opportunities that I have been able to be a part of I have had my own store front businesses, worked with fashion and bridal designers, wedding houses, the pageant industry along with costume and dance, and vintage garments and re-creations.  With everything that I have been a part of, I have been fortunate enough to have made this my career and it is also my passion.  I have reached a new area of my career and have decided to be a part of a few projects that are really the type of work that I am wanting to do now.  However, you never know what the future holds-so make sure you keep track of what we are doing!  To all of my clients and partners that I have worked with through out my career - thanks for allowing me to do what I love!  -Susan

January 2012

We are pleased to announce our newest division - USMILSEW that caters to our Military Clients!  Make sure you check out our online store that features on-site services that I provide, name and branch tapes and American made products.

You can find the online store at http://www.usmilsew.com

Below are the different projects and partnerships that I am currently involved in.  I am so excited about all the different sides of my business!  If you have any questions about anything you can contact me here.

It all started with a quilt!  This area of my work became an outlet for me to be able to work with different patterns and fabrics for babies and children.  I am always coming up with great little items, but my quilts are really where I have the most enjoyment.  We are working on getting these products available online.  Keep checking for availability. I am the Creative Director for this business as well as a business partner.  We create high end evening gown and cocktail apparel and just recently started adding accessories to the mix!  The first clothing collection is coming out in 2012 and is called the "Bella Collection".

Kristin Irene just recently launched a mini collection of clutches as the first items to their accessories.  Make sure you check out the store!

I became a re-seller for Pure Country Weavers when I opened up my store front in Indian Head, MD.  I had wanted to be able to provide additional merchandise to my customers and since I was right next the Naval Base in Indian Head I looked for someone that had Military themed items.  I was really excited when I found these guys because I like to buy American Made products whenever possible.  All of the items that are produced by Pure Country Weavers are products made here in the USA.

You can check out what stock I have in my online store.

I really enjoy working with the Military and it has always been something that means a lot to me.  Having a husband who retired ARMY and a daughter who is former USMC - tailoring uniforms is something that I have done through out my entire career.

I have worked on all branches of service providing regulation alterations.

I am the current contractor with the NEX at Indian Head and you can find me there on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. till 2 p.m.

Did I mention we also make name and branch tapes?  We produce these for Army, Air Force, Navy and USMC.

Stop by and say hello!  I have some merchandise in store!
